Michael Bauer defaced in Public

My Very Politically-incorrect Comment on sf.eater.com about defacing of M Bauer in public:

This is not good. Now, he will get mad and take it out on some poor restaurant. If he stayed anonymous for so long and now his face gets thrown in public by (of all people) Paolo, I would say it is a conspiracy. That Acme review irked too many people but who would have known, it would go this far... I bet they are all smiles in the City Hall. No Bauer. No Chronicle. They will appoint their own critic and it is back to Old San Francisco family-run days. So much money to make instead of closing Plumb and Falstaff. Just a few changes and this city will be perfect. But for whom???

Over in New York, the critics are not quite faceless, while Miss Irene down in LA only has a blurry photo to her credit. Here in the Bay, we kicked off the game of cat-and-mouse earlier in the month when we uncovered a suspicious yet inconclusive shot on SFGate that may or may not have been Mr. Michael Bauer, he of 20+ years of anonymity. But today is a momentous day, and here we have some screengrabs from a video at the Minnesota State Fair (yes, really). Bauerlicious himself is interviewed sans face in the beginning, but fortunately, he appears in the background around the 1:20 mark. Our favorite shot in the above gallery is the last one.
