More of My Comments on Unmasking of Michael Bauer

This is not good. Now, he will get mad and take it out on some poor restaurant. If he stayed anonymous for so long and now his face gets thrown in public by (of all people) Paolo, I would say it is a conspiracy. That Acme review irked too many people but who would have known, it would go this far... I bet they are all smiles in the City Hall. No Bauer. No Chronicle. They will appoint their own critic and it is back to Old San Francisco family-run days. So much money to make instead of closing Plumb and Falstaff. Just a few changes and this city will be perfect. But for whom???

I though Paolo (of sf.eater fame) just hates me and writes nasty anonymous replies to my posts! I kinda can tell now! Looks like I am not the only one. I am sure Bauer has a contingency plan for something like this coming up. And he may have a better job offer and this just moves him food critic ladder to TV or something. The timing of photo releases is questionable: The morning after a three-day holiday!

What if Bauer is behind all this? He just wants to go public to have an excuse to retire and now can go on TV? "Hi. I'm Michael Bauer from San Francisco ...."

I recall seeing a very nice well-lit photograph of Josh Sens wearing a suit sitting at a table smiling for the camera. I always thought Bauer is a little paranoid because this guy can care less to be photographed. If they hide Sens now, that is new to me. Then again Sens does not have a point system that is terrifying. Bauer does and people really flip over his scores. If Bauer goes, his score system is history which the fight is really over. Nobody is afraid of J Sens or Pat U because they don't have a demonic device (score system) to hurt people. Face it, SF politics is not known for integrity and the tendency is to favor people who say what the lobby wants said.

I forget the name but I read this: A Native American tribe would announce the removal of a Chief by sitting him on a stool and pulling it from under him in public. This meant the guy is not a Chief anymore. And they had a lot of Chiefs to begin with. I guess in Internet Age, one picks a pivotal point on calendar (day after 3 day holiday) and reveals something.

That makes today Michael Bauer Day.
